Behind the Brand: 

Hey, I’m Meghan - full-time mom, full-time VP of Sales for an event rental company, and founder of Reef Love — aka my passion project, creative outlet, and tiny escape from the chaos of everyday life.

I started Reef Love not because I had loads of free time (spoiler: I don’t), but because I needed something that felt like mine. Something that connected me back to the parts of myself that get lost in the trenches of daily life — the part that loves scuba diving, craves adventure, respects nature, and could talk about sharks all day long.

Why I Started This

I’ve always been drawn to the coast — it’s in my DNA. I practically grew up on Rehoboth Bay. My dad spent his summers windsurfing, which meant we kids were left to wander the shoreline, collect shells, and flip over every poor horseshoe crab we found belly-up. I was the kid who wanted to be a marine biologist before I could even spell it - obsessed with ocean life, fascinated by sharks, and completely in love with manatees (still am, by the way).

There’s just something about the salty air, the quiet hum of the water, and that feeling of being small in the very best way. It resets me.

But let’s be honest - that’s not everyday life. Most days look more like work deadlines, laundry piles, school drop-offs, and wondering if coffee counts as a food group. It's not all sunrises and sea glass. It's real life - and that's exactly why I created Reef Love.

What Makes Reef Love… Reef Love

It’s laid-back and lived-in. It’s about pieces you can wear on vacation and while running errands. I only add products to the shop that I actually buy and wear myself — nothing fussy, nothing I wouldn’t throw in a suitcase or toss on after a long day.

That said, I do have to be fancy every now and then. Whether it’s for work events, meetings, or a political event with my partner, I still love a great dress or polished outfit. So, I keep a healthy mix of elevated staples and easygoing essentials — because real life calls for both.

I care about sustainability, quality, and creating a vibe that reminds you of who you are underneath all the roles you juggle. Reef Love is here for the beach days and the busy days.

The Ocean Runs Deep (So Does This Brand)

If I could spend every day in the water with sharks, I would. But I also live in spreadsheets and sales meetings. That balance — between passion and practicality — is what shapes this brand.

Reef Love isn’t about pretending life is perfect. It’s about carving out moments that feel like a breath of fresh air. Whether it’s a shirt that fits just right, a quote that makes you pause, or a reminder that adventure is still part of who you are — even if you're juggling a hundred other things.

More Than a Brand — It’s My Happy Place

This little shop gives me joy. It’s how I stay connected to the pieces of myself that don’t always fit into my 9-to-5 (or let’s be honest, 7-to-11). I hope it brings that kind of energy to you, too — that relaxed, inspired, still chasing the waves kind of feeling.
